1) General Recommendations
This is not a walkthrough; it is a FAQ.  It is thorough FAQ though, so you may
find what you need in any case.  It's written to support a player wanting to
complete the game 100%.  If you need help on a specific mission that isn't
addressed in the Mission Tips section, recap the mission and pay attention to
the descriptions.  If necessary, scan citizens for clues and wander in the
areas of town they refer to so you can trigger mission beacons.  You could
also try an internet message board for a response tailored to your needs.

In every area after Bay City you begin by landing the saucer.  Get back in the
saucer and fly through the level.  Abduct citizens galore as you zip around.
When the alert level goes up, abduct cops and army personnel as well.  Once
you've completed all the gene blends possible, land and explore.  Completing
gene blends early like this helps you orient yourself to the new map, and it
makes life easier when working through the missions--increased body snatching
means less detection and fewer authorities aiming for you.

For any completist, finding all the Alien Artifacts and Furotech Cells is a
must.  It is easiest to find all of the artifacts and cells by ignoring the
missions and systematically scouring the map.  This approach allows you to
keep better track--see section 2--of the areas searched and items found
without the distraction of a mission in progress.  You'll also get a better
understanding of the map layout and be more efficient while working on the
missions.  Some items may require advancing the storyline or getting upgrades
to be accessible.

Body snatching is good and good for you.  Three easy tips for getting clean
snatches:
1) Snatch from around a corner.  If you snatch someone while just seeing part
of them but remain unseen by others, you'll be able to get a clean snatch.
2) Free Love snatching feels right.  Grab a body.  If it isn't what you're
after, Free Love a nearby citizen.  While the crowd dances, jump out of that
body and into a more desirable one--the Free Lovers won't notice.  You can
also Free Love before snatching and the dancing citizens won't notice you.
3) If you're trying to snatch one person in a pair of people, PK push one to
knock him or her down and then snatch the other.  The citizen won't notice
while getting up from being knocked down--excellent when you need a quick cop
or KGB body.

Don't forget to use protection.  The Protect ability (target with mental
powers and press X rapidly) allows you to convert an aggressive person (cop,
army, agent, ninja, or infected human) into an ally.  This is especially
useful when getting swarmed.  Converting the person takes about as long as
killing them with the Zap-O-Matic, and that person will work for you.  The
amount of damage they dish out isn't nearly as important as the fact they will
be attacked by other aggressive people.  This buys you breathing room to pick
off the attackers in relative comfort.  This technique is very helpful when
handling escort missions as the protecting person is another target to get
shot instead of the person you're escorting.

Kill the KGB cars.  KGB agents arrive to a scene in long black cars and then
jump out.  While there may be several agents to deal with, their car is poorly
armored.  A few volts from the Zap-O-Matic, and the car explodes, seriously
injuring nearby agents.  This technique helps mow through crowds of KGB more
efficiently than aiming for them directly.  Cop cars and army APCs are too
well insulated to do the same thing though.

Transmogrifying vehicles is one of your most efficient ways of dealing with
heavy machinery on foot.  If you transmog an army APC before the troops get
out, you don't have to deal with the soldiers.  In situations where you must
deal with multiple vehicles on foot,  transmog them until they can't function,
and then move on to the next one.

"A" is the way.  If you're short on time or don't want to listen to Crypto's
witty comments, press A to skip through sections of dialogue.  Repeatedly
pressing A selects the first option, and selecting the first option will
almost always wind up being the correct course of action (clever asides are
taking out of the choices after you've heard them).  However, this doesn't
apply on the handful of missions with a quiz-style interactive section:
Revenge of the Ninja (Takoshima, Mission 12), Russian Roulette (Moonbase
Solaris, Mission 24), and Crypto, Hired Gun - Secret Agent, Red Weasel
(Albion, Odd Job).

2) Alien Artifacts and Furotech Cells
Locations are given using abbreviated cardinal directions (N, S, E, and W) and
the area names seen on the map.  Every attempt has been made to give
descriptions based on permanent landmarks (such as landing zones as opposed to
where a given mission takes you).  Items which are not immediately accessible
are indicated, though Jetpack upgrades may be required for other items.  Not
all levels actually have 40 Furotech Cells though the counter will reach 40
once all the Cells are found.
