Taste the Purple Pig at Ribfest
By MARTY AND AVRUM THE FOOD GUYS
The Purple Pig has won over 40 major Ribfest awards. Everything here is homemade and you can taste the sweetness of someone caring about the food they serve.
The Cajun Perogies are special and different. Their French Onion Soup also has a kick. Mama Helen is responsible for the handmade and stone baked pizza. Mama, you can visit my home anytime, don't be shy.
If you have never tasted Pulled Pork, now is the time. It is shaved, smoked pork loin tossed in their homemade BBQ sauce. Then there's the Razorback -- it's BBQ chicken breast in peameal bacon with melted mozzarella cheese.
What makes these ribs and chicken stand out above others is the fact that they are marinated and smoked over a long period of time with a fabulous secret sauce.
Even the desserts are made right there. Apple pie is the house specialty.
You know once you taste their food why one company can win so many awards. You be the judge and taste a winner!
